Install

:: After you have downloaded the "ExoSee setup file", open it and follow the setup wizard instructions ...


Start

:: Once you have installed ExoSee, a welcome window invites you to enter a nickname and a folder to share. Enter your desired nickname between 2 and 16 characters and then click on the [...] to browse for a folder to share.

:: If you are behind a Router then you will have to allow ports 716 and 717 in your Router-Settings. Check :"Behind a Router/NAT" checkbox after doing so. You should also permit ExoSee in your Firewall software-settings !

:: That's it ! Now hit "Ok" to enter the world of ExoSee !



ExoSee Communities Start

:: In this window, there is a list of "Communities". By default, it is auto-populated by public communities.

:: Select the ones you want to join by clicking on the checkbox.

:: Now, click on "Start". ExoSee will contact the servers of the selected communities. You will then see the online communities (on the left panel of ExoSee) getting filled with users who've joined the same communities as you.



Explorer Panel

:: In the left panel of ExoSee there is an Explorer which has three main categories:
- Home : you'll find one user (you).
- Favorites : this category holds all your favorite users.
- Communities : contains started communities with their users.

Community Properties

:: Every community has their own properties and options to set.

:: Right-click on a selected community to see the contextual menu, then click on "Properties".

:: In this window you will find two main options to set:
- "Login Password" : to enter a password if the community you want to join is private (password-protected).
- "Allow community homepage in web tab" : to uncheck if you don't want to load the community website.
